Our mission is to give supplemental funds to direct providers of legal services so they can serve more individuals and families who need a lawyer but cannot afford to hire one. When facing a civil legal problem without a lawyer, too often people do not receive justice. They may lose hope, safe and secure housing, food, medication, or earned benefits.
Direct providers of legal services have limited resources and cannot serve all low-income Tennesseans. This is where the Drowota Trust steps in—giving funds to providers so they can serve more people with civil legal problems.
The Drowota Trust, a 501 (c)(3) charitable trust, is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in people’s everyday lives. Civil legal help is often the only path to justice for hardworking families trying to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table, seniors facing eviction, veterans needing earned benefits, and victims of domestic violence.
